Kinesiologist (Rehabilitation Therapist)

Rehab First Inc. has a rich legacy of client-centered assessment and treatment delivery and is currently looking for an experienced kinesiologist to join our Toronto team as we continue to expand in Southern Ontario.

Rehab First Inc. is a multidisciplinary rehabilitation treatment and assessment provider specializing in complex case management, rehabilitation, counselling, and life care planning for those who have been injured in motor-vehicle collisions, suffered injury on the job or who have disabling health conditions. We are committed to helping clients rebuild their futures and reach their potential at home, work, school and in the community.Our professionals work as part of a community-based program, allowing for flexibility and effective one-on-one intervention.

Responsibilities may include:

• Development of treatment plans under Ontario’s Statutory Accident Benefit regulations
• Development and implementation of home and community-based gym/exercise therapy programs
• Work hardening and conditioning
• Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
• Life Skills Training/Activities of Daily Living
• Job coaching
• Educational assistance
• Ergonomic assessments
• Social and Community reintegration

Qualifications:

• A University degree in Kinesiology or a related discipline
• Previous experience with creating and implementing physical exercise programs is required
• Experience with brain injuries is beneficial
• Superior interpersonal relations, communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
• Strong computer, written and verbal communication skills
• Willing to travel to local gyms or client’s homes
